Death Doesn't Exist And May Just Be An Illusion, According To Quantum Physics (msn.com)

I am beginning to like this Biocentrism perspective. It is pretty much a perfect fit for what I have come up with organically as just another slob on the bus who never figured out algebra and science classes were just one fucking long hour in high school. It has just enough scientific pizzazz to sound cool yet negates the fearful aspects of religious faith and guys in robes saying scary stuff they just make up. Dr. Lanza appears to be a pretty smart guy too and discovered all kinds of stuff in medicine. For sure he is smarter than I am, and I am betting he can do himself some pretty fancy ciphering. 

It all goes back to my core belief that everything we know has to be filtered through our own consciousness and five puny senses. Einstein has even referenced the 'Hard Problem' in several instances, and nobody was smarter than him. We are all guessing at the end of the day.

  I sold real estate in the city with the largest concentration of Arabs in the USA. Many of the old-time agents would not work with them. Arabs drove a hard bargain. I was forced to, as I was a newcomer to the city and had no 'sphere of influence', as they like to say in real estate.  Hard to fathom that Alan Watts died 50 years ago today. No one was better at articulating Eastern philosophy and religion for Western sensibilities than Watts. Add to that a God given voice and the driest of humor, and you had a winning combination. The irony was Watts lifestyle was about as far from what he was an expert on as one could get. To me that was really his charm. He did not have that irritating 'emptier than thou' vibe that so many of the white West Coast hippie Buddhists had. I can't think of any other single person who was more important in bridging beatnik and hippie culture either. He was always there in the background through the 50's and 60's in the SF Bay Area. My girlfriend at the time and I saw Watts speak at UCSC in 1970. He was truly wonderful. Some UCSC students were giving him some shit for something he said that wasn't politically correct.
